Innocenti Evasioni / Storia Di Un Uomo E Una Donna

Released in 1972 on the Numero Uno label, this single features 'Innocenti Evasioni' backed by 'Storia di un uomo e una donna'. The track was a pivotal contribution to the discography of Lucio Battisti, one of the most influential figures in Italian pop music. It emerged during a period of high creative output for Battisti, who sought to blend sophisticated melodic sensibilities with the evolving arrangements of the Italian rock scene of the early seventies.

The musical direction on this recording was shaped by the collaboration with Formula 3, a progressive rock band closely linked to Battisti and his label. The sound reflects a departure from traditional Italian pop toward a more experimental, textured production style. Critically, the record is noted for its lyrical maturity and the seamless integration of acoustic and electric elements, marking a definitive moment in the transition of Italian songwriting during that era.
