King Koopa's Kool Kartoons / Moonlight on Vermont

Released in 2005 by The Most Ever Company, the King Koopa's Kool Kartoons / Moonlight on Vermont 7-inch record stands as an artifact of the mid-2000s indie and outsider music scene. The release is emblematic of the era's lo-fi aesthetic, produced by a collective known for distributing experimental, limited-run physical media that often bridged the gap between sound collage and kitsch culture.

The design of the release reflects the minimalist, underground ethos of the label, prioritizing a raw and intentional visual presentation. While the specific intent of the artists involved remains largely internal to the label's history, the record is recognized by collectors of the period for its contribution to the niche subgenre of post-punk-inflected novelty tracks, serving as a snapshot of the creative experimentation prevalent in the small-batch vinyl production of the mid-2000s.
