Lamine EP

The Lamine EP emerged from the vibrant trance landscape of the early 2000s, released through the independent imprint Family Brain. This collaborative effort brought together the production expertise of Ferry Corsten—a pivotal figure in the evolution of melodic trance—and the German DJ and producer DJ Shog. It was designed to capture the high-energy, euphoric sound characteristic of the era's club scene, blending driving percussion with the expansive, atmospheric synths that defined the duo's respective styles.

The record serves as a snapshot of a period where experimental collaborations between prominent European dance producers were common in underground electronic music. While the release did not carry a formal catalog number, it remains a distinct artifact for collectors of mid-2000s progressive and uplifting trance. It was received primarily within professional DJ circles and specialist dance music shops, valued for its utility in set-building during the transition between the peak of classic trance and the rise of more modern big-room sounds.
