Pohádky Ze Zapotřebí- Bajki Z Potrzeby - Fairytales From Needland

Pohádky ze Zapotřebí was released in 2007 as a collaborative project between the long-running Czech avant-garde band Už Jsme Doma and the Polish label Nikt Nic Nie Wie. The album represents the band's signature fusion of punk energy, folk-inspired melodies, and intricate, surrealist compositions that have defined their sound since the late 1980s. The title, translated as Fairytales from Needland, reflects the band's penchant for linguistic play and their long-standing connection to the underground music scenes in Central Europe.

The album's aesthetic and musical direction were guided by the group's founder, Miroslav Wanek, whose lyrics often explore themes of absurdity and existential reflection. The packaging and visual presentation, typical of the Nikt Nic Nie Wie imprint, prioritize a stripped-back, DIY-influenced design that mirrors the band's ethos of independence from mainstream commercial expectations. Upon release, the record was received as a cohesive addition to the band’s catalog, reinforcing their reputation for artistic consistency within the European alternative rock circuit.
