Quiero Que Me Quieras / ¡Eh! Tu, Loca Marabú

Released in 1966 on the Columbia label, this single by Los Go-Go captures the energetic spirit of the mid-sixties Spanish pop and yé-yé scene. The group emerged during a period of rapid evolution in Spanish music, where local bands were increasingly experimenting with imported sounds from the British Invasion and American rock, blending them with regional rhythmic sensibilities.

The record serves as a representative artifact of the era's lighthearted and dance-oriented production style. While Los Go-Go were part of a wider movement of ensembles navigating the transition from traditional pop to more modern, beat-driven arrangements, the release of this single highlights the record industry's efforts to capitalize on the burgeoning youth culture that characterized Spanish nightlife throughout the mid-1960s.
