Ronde Des Saisons

Ronde Des Saisons, released under the Select label with catalog number SSP-24.168, emerged from the mid-century tradition of French-Canadian children's educational and musical programming. During this period, record labels often curated collections of songs and poems to serve both as light entertainment and as pedagogical tools for young listeners, reflecting a broader cultural emphasis on seasonal appreciation and lyrical storytelling in educational media.

The record features the artistic contributions of M. Marie Régis, whose work in this context focuses on thematic consistency and accessibility for younger audiences. The design and production intent centered on creating a gentle, rhythmic atmosphere that guided children through the transitions of the calendar year. While specific critical reception for this particular pressing is limited by its specialized target demographic, it remains a representative example of the Select label's commitment to producing regional French-language content during the mid-twentieth century.
