Sonate A-dur, Op. 47 Für Violine Und Klavier (Kreutzer-Sonate) / Sonate F-dur, Op. 24 Für Violine Und Klavier (Frühlings-Sonate)

This Parnass release presents two of Beethoven's most celebrated works for violin and piano: the Spring Sonata (Op. 24) and the Kreutzer Sonata (Op. 47). These compositions represent pivotal moments in Beethoven's middle period, showcasing the evolving intensity of his dialogue between the two instruments. The Kreutzer Sonata in particular is renowned for its technical demands and emotional depth, famously pushing the boundaries of the genre to a near-symphonic scale.

The Parnass label, known for its focus on classical repertoire, curated this specific pressing to provide listeners with an accessible pairing of these contrasting sonatas. While specific details regarding the remastering or the particular performers on this catalog number are often part of the broader history of budget-conscious classical label distribution, the recording maintains a tradition of honoring the structural integrity of Beethoven's original scores. It remains a staple for collectors interested in the pedagogical and performance evolution of late 18th- and early 19th-century chamber music.
