Take It Off / Make My Day

Released in 1991 on Lamina Records, this 12-inch single by II Marx Of Terra serves as a representative artifact of the early 90s underground dance and electronic scene. The track Take It Off / Make My Day emerged during a period when independent labels were instrumental in bridging the gap between late-eighties club culture and the emerging rave aesthetic, providing a platform for experimental production styles that favored repetitive, rhythm-heavy arrangements.

The design of the release reflects the minimalist, no-frills visual identity common among independent electronic imprints of the era, which often prioritized budget-conscious, functional packaging over high-concept art. While the specific production team behind II Marx Of Terra remains largely anonymous, the record is noted by enthusiasts of the genre for its stark, direct sound design, which was intended to emphasize functionality on the dance floor rather than polished commercial appeal.
