Where it came from
Released in 1998 on the DIY-oriented label Shit Records, this split 7-inch record features the Brazilian crust-punk and hardcore bands No Prejudice and Dischord. The release serves as a documentation of the late 90s underground extreme music scene in Brazil, prioritizing raw, aggressive sonic expression characteristic of the genre at the time.
The record’s title and aesthetic reflect the politically charged, anti-establishment ethos common in the international crust-punk movement. By pairing two bands on a split release, the label aimed to foster solidarity within the local punk community, presenting a unified message of social resistance through abrasive instrumentation and socio-political lyricism.
