Where it came from
Released in 1979 on the RV Records label, this single is a thematic novelty record centered on the Italian football club A.C. Milan. Luciano Secchi, better known in the Italian publishing world as the creator of the long-running comic book series Alan Ford, utilized his creative background to steer this project. The record serves as an official anthem, capturing the enthusiasm surrounding the Serie A football culture of the late 1970s.
The production sought to blend the passion of the fan base with the upbeat, cinematic pop sensibilities prevalent in Italian music during that era. By casting 'Undici Uomini D'Oro'—or 'Eleven Golden Men'—as the protagonists, the record frames the team through a heroic lens. While it remains a niche collectible primarily for football memorabilia enthusiasts and completists of Secchi's diverse creative output, it reflects the era's trend of football-themed musical tributes.
