Where it came from
Released in 2026, XPE-LP-001 serves as the debut long-player for the experimental collective known as Xperimental Parasite Eradication Tools. Emerging from the underground electronic music circuit, the project functions as both a musical act and a conceptual art entity, utilizing the format of the vinyl record to explore themes of systemic decay and sonic agitation. The work was produced during a period of heightened interest in analog-digital fusion, reflecting the collective's commitment to industrial soundscapes.
The design of the packaging and the sonic architecture of the tracks were orchestrated by the core members of the collective to mirror the erratic, repetitive nature of biological parasitic cycles. By blending harsh noise textures with minimalist rhythmic structures, the artists aimed to create a visceral, immersive experience rather than a traditional listening session. Reception within niche avant-garde circles has highlighted the record's uncompromising technical production and its deliberate deviation from conventional pop-music conventions.
