Where it came from
This 2018 release serves as a reissue of the 1993 debut studio album by the Spanish crossover thrash band Soziedad Alkoholika. Originally recorded during a period of significant social and political tension in the Basque Country, the album established the group's signature aggressive sound and scathing lyrical focus on systemic corruption, police violence, and societal hypocrisy, which often drew the ire of conservative segments of the Spanish establishment.
The album's title, which translates to 'And that one who talks so much is totally empty, you already know the empty pitcher is the one that makes the most noise,' reflects the band's penchant for sharp, confrontational messaging. Designed to mirror the raw intensity of their live performances, the artwork and compositions were crafted to bypass mainstream filters, cementing the band's status as a foundational pillar of the Iberian hardcore punk and metal scenes.
