Zenaida Y Zoraida Beveraggi

Released in 1977 on the Flamboyan Records label, this album features the Puerto Rican duo known as Las Gemelas Zeni y Zori. The recording serves as a quintessential artifact of the Latin music scene of the era, capturing the sisters' vocal harmonies within the traditional and popular styles managed by the label. Flamboyan Records was instrumental during this period in documenting local talents and niche regional sounds that flourished in the Caribbean diaspora.

The album reflects the aesthetic and production standards typical of independent tropical music labels in the mid-1970s, prioritizing the direct, unadorned capture of live vocal performance. While specific design credits for the sleeve art remain obscure, the visual presentation mirrors the era's focus on performer identity, centering the duo in a style consistent with the promotional imagery of the time. The record remains a valued piece for collectors of rare salsa and Latin vocal music, providing a glimpse into the output of a prolific but often under-documented label.
