Zoals Die Zomer Van Tien Om Te Zien

Released in 1991 on the Topkapi label, this single features Will Tura, a towering figure in Flemish popular music often referred to as the King of Belgian Music. The track was composed as a tie-in for the immensely popular VTM television program Tien Om Te Zien, which became a cultural phenomenon in Flanders during the early 1990s. The show served as the primary platform for Dutch-language pop and schlager music, and Tura’s involvement provided the broadcast with an essential anchor of established national talent.

The production reflects the polished, synth-driven pop aesthetic common to Flemish television soundtracks of the era. The song was designed to capture the breezy, nostalgic sentiment of a memorable summer, fitting the high-energy, variety-show format of the series. While the track functioned largely as promotional material for the show, it solidified Tura's ongoing relevance in a rapidly changing music landscape, maintaining his status as a versatile artist capable of shifting seamlessly between traditional balladry and contemporary pop television staples.
