Artifact Mjollnir

Artifact Mjollnir was released in the 2018 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set Extreme Force. As a member of the Artifact archetype, which debuted in the Primal Origin set, it contributes to a theme centered on cards that can be set in the Spell & Trap zone and subsequently special summoned during the opponent's turn. The design draws inspiration from Mjollnir, the legendary hammer of Thor in Norse mythology, consistent with the set's broader motif of incorporating historical and mythological weaponry into its card designs.

The card was designed to support the Artifact strategy by providing a way to recur resources from the graveyard. Like other cards in the Artifact series, its gameplay utility relies on the unique mechanic of triggering special effects when destroyed during the opponent's turn. While the card is a common rarity and did not fundamentally alter the competitive landscape upon its release, it remains a thematic and functional component for players building decks focused on the Artifact engine.
