Black Dragon's Chick

Black Dragon's Chick was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2004 set Magician's Force. Designed as a specialized support monster, it serves a singular utility purpose: allowing players to special summon the iconic Red-Eyes Black Dragon from their hand without the need for a formal tribute summon. Its design reflects the era's focus on accelerating high-level monsters onto the field, leveraging the popularity of Joey Wheeler's signature card to encourage deck builds centered around Dragon-type synergies.

The card was later reissued as a common in Dark Revelation Volume 3, a compilation set released in 2006 intended to provide players with easier access to key cards from previous expansions. As a common rarity print, the card became widely accessible to the casual player base, solidifying its place as a functional, utility-focused piece in the broader Dark Revelation series, which aimed to curate essential competitive and thematic staples for the growing card game community.
