Dragon Spirit of White

Dragon Spirit of White was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Legendary Decks II set, released in 2016. This collection was designed as a thematic celebration of the original series, specifically focusing on the signature cards and strategies used by Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, and Seto Kaiba throughout the anime's history. The inclusion of this card served to support the Blue-Eyes White Dragon archetype, which remains one of the most iconic and frequently revisited themes in the game's long-running competitive ecosystem.

The card features an ethereal, spectral design that distinguishes it from the standard Blue-Eyes White Dragon, emphasizing its unique status as a special summon monster with banishing capabilities. Its design reflects the Konami art team's effort to provide modern utility to classic deck builds. Upon release, it was well-received by players for its synergy with cards like The White Stone of Ancients, effectively allowing duelists to maintain board presence while disrupting an opponent's backrow, cementing its place as a functional staple in casual and thematic deck building.
