Dragon Spirit of White

Dragon Spirit of White was introduced in the 2016 Shining Victories booster set, a release that significantly bolstered the Blue-Eyes White Dragon archetype within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Designed to provide tactical versatility to the deck, the card functions as both a powerful utility monster that can banish opposing spells or traps and a bridge to summoning the iconic Blue-Eyes White Dragon, reflecting the synergy and support themes prevalent in that era of the game's competitive meta.

The card features artwork consistent with the high-fantasy aesthetic of the franchise, portraying a spectral, crystalline version of the classic dragon. As an Ultra Rare in the Shining Victories set, it became a staple for players seeking to modernize their Blue-Eyes decks. The design intent was to grant the archetype an aggressive answer to back-row threats, and it was generally well-received by the player base for effectively balancing thematic faithfulness with functional gameplay mechanics.
