Dragon Spirit of White

Dragon Spirit of White was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game to bolster the 'Blue-Eyes' archetype, a cornerstone of the game since its 2002 inception. This specific printing debuted in the 2017 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, a compilation set designed to reprint high-demand cards from the previous year’s core booster sets. By including this card in the Mega-Tin, Konami ensured that players could more easily access the monster’s utility, which is centered on its ability to banish backrow cards upon being summoned.

The card’s design reflects the aesthetic evolution of the Blue-Eyes theme, transitioning from the original classic monster to more mystical, ethereal variations. As a Level 8 Effect Monster, it was crafted to provide strategic synergy with cards like 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' and various support spells. Upon its release, it was well-received by competitive and casual players alike for its dual nature as both a normal monster in the graveyard and a powerful disruption tool on the field.
