Enervating Mist

Enervating Mist was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a common card in the 2004 set Magician's Force before being reprinted as a rare in the 2006 compilation set Dark Revelation Volume 3. The card was designed as a continuous trap card intended to disrupt opponents who relied on large hand sizes, specifically punishing those who held more than seven cards by forcing them to discard during their end phase.

The artwork and mechanics reflect the mid-2000s era of the game, where strategic resource management was increasingly prioritized against decks centered on heavy draw power. Dark Revelation Volume 3 served as a comprehensive retrospective for players, gathering key cards from several expansion sets to provide a more accessible way for collectors to obtain staple cards that had previously been difficult to acquire.
