Ninjitsu Art of Decoy

The Ninjitsu Art of Decoy was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game during the mid-2000s, serving as a tactical support card for Ninja-themed deck archetypes. Its design centers on the classic trope of the substitution technique, providing players with a defensive mechanism to protect their monsters on the field. The card was crafted to integrate into the intricate combo-heavy style of play that Konami emphasized for the Ninja archetype, rewarding players for carefully managing their field presence.

This specific iteration, card number DR3-EN052, was released as part of the Dark Revelation Volume 3 expansion. This set was designed as a reprint collection, intended to make previously released cards from various booster packs more accessible to the general player base. While it features a common rarity, the card is recognized by collectors for its role in maintaining the mechanical consistency of early Ninja decks and for its nostalgic connection to the competitive landscape of the era.
