Evilswarm Salamandra

Evilswarm Salamandra was originally introduced as part of the Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars expansion in 2013, created by Konami for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a member of the Evilswarm archetype, the design draws upon the lore of the 'Duel Terminal' world, where corrupted versions of previous heroes and monsters were united under a dark, biomechanical aesthetic. The card reflects this thematic shift, featuring a twisted, armored depiction of the classic Fire-attribute beast.

The inclusion of this specific card in the 2017 Dinosmasher's Fury Structure Deck served as a functional utility tool for players. While the deck focused primarily on Dinosaur-type synergies, the reprint of Evilswarm Salamandra provided an accessible way for players to utilize its graveyard-banishing effect to boost its own attack. It is regarded as a practical common-rarity staple from that era, valued more for its niche tactical application in specific matchups than for its narrative role in the broader card game meta.
