Evilswarm Salamandra

Evilswarm Salamandra was released as part of the Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars set in 2013, a specialized booster release that brought the OCG’s Duel Terminal themes to Western markets. The card belongs to the 'Evilswarm' archetype, which reimagined earlier iconic monsters from the franchise as corrupted, dark-attribute versions of their former selves. The design aesthetic draws on themes of bio-mechanical decay and cosmic horror, reflecting the narrative of the archetype within the Duel Terminal lore as forces driven by the invasion of the lswarm entity.

The card was designed to support the archetype's playstyle, which relies on manipulating the graveyard to fuel the high-impact rank four Xyz summoning mechanics central to the meta of the era. As a Super Rare card in the Hidden Arsenal 7 set, it provided essential utility for players building competitive Evilswarm decks, allowing them to banish monsters to boost its attack power while simultaneously setting up the graveyard for other key card effects. It remains a notable piece for collectors interested in the mechanical evolution of mid-2010s Yu-Gi-Oh! gameplay.
