Foucault's Cannon

Foucault's Cannon was introduced in the 2014 Duelist Alliance booster set, which served as a pivotal release for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This set marked the debut of the Pendulum Summoning mechanic, fundamentally changing the game's flow by allowing players to summon multiple monsters simultaneously. As a Normal Pendulum Monster, Foucault's Cannon was designed to demonstrate the dual utility of the new card type, acting as both a strategic monster on the field and a spell card within the Pendulum Zone.

The card’s aesthetic and mechanical design reflect the shift toward the Arc-V era of the franchise, which emphasized technological and mechanical themes. Like many cards in Duelist Alliance, it was created by Konami’s design team to provide players with accessible tools to interact with the then-new Pendulum mechanic.
