Fluffal Bear

Fluffal Bear was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2014 set Crossed Souls, later appearing as a common in the 2015 Mega-Tin Mega Pack. It belongs to the Fluffal archetype, a series of cards centered around Sora Perse, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series. These monsters are designed with a juxtaposed aesthetic, appearing as cute, stuffed animals that serve as fusion materials for the more sinister, grotesque Frightfur monsters.

The card was designed to support the deck's fusion strategy by allowing players to discard it from their hand to search for the Polymerization spell card. The artistic direction for the archetype, typically credited to the Konami design team, leans into a 'creepy-cute' theme, deliberately using soft textures and whimsical colors to hide the darker nature of the deck's playstyle. Upon its release, it became a staple utility card for Fluffal players due to its efficiency in thinning the deck and facilitating key combos.
