Ghostrick Museum

Ghostrick Museum was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2014 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, originating from the Japanese set Shadow Specters. The card represents the Field Spell archetype for the Ghostrick series, a collection of monsters themed around mischievous spirits and classic Halloween imagery. Its design incorporates a whimsical, eerie aesthetic, emphasizing the archetype's core mechanic of forcing monsters into face-down defense position to mirror the 'trick-or-treat' nature of its namesake.

The card was designed to support the Ghostrick playstyle, which focuses on control and disruption through frequent flipping of cards. By punishing players for attacking monsters in face-down defense position, the Museum forces opponents to engage with the Ghostrick strategy on their terms. Upon its release, it was well-received by players who appreciated the synergy it provided for the deck's defensive utility, though its status as a common rarity card made it widely accessible for players looking to complete their playsets.
