Ghostrick Night

Ghostrick Night was released in the 2014 Primal Origin booster set, serving as a pivotal support card for the Ghostrick archetype. The theme draws heavily from classic horror tropes, reinterpreting traditional monsters like ghouls, witches, and mummies as mischievous, nocturnal figures who hide from the light of day. This card specifically mirrors the mechanic of the deck, which relies on flipping monsters face-down to protect them and disrupt the opponent's strategy.

The card was illustrated to reinforce the playful yet eerie aesthetic of the Ghostrick series, showcasing the monsters in their nocturnal domain. As a continuous trap, it forces monsters into face-down defense position, effectively locking out aggressive strategies that rely on monster effects. While it occupies a common rarity slot, it is recognized by players for its thematic cohesion and its ability to anchor the control-heavy playstyle that defines the Ghostrick set.
