Gravity Collapse

Gravity Collapse was originally released as a Common rarity card in OTS Tournament Pack 13 (OP13), a specialized set distributed exclusively to Konami-sanctioned hobby stores to support local organized play. These packs were designed to provide players with accessible versions of various competitive cards, often featuring cards that had previously been difficult to obtain or were staples in the evolving tournament meta of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.

The card itself functions as a counter-trap that negates the summon of a monster by sacrificing another face-up Synchro monster. Its design reflects the fast-paced, interaction-heavy nature of the 5D's era of the game, emphasizing the importance of board presence and resource management. While it did not reach the ubiquity of format-defining traps, it remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the history of OTS tournament support and the mechanical evolution of Synchro-heavy strategies.
