Hinotama

Hinotama was included in the Magic Ruler expansion, released in North America in 2002 as the third core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a common spell card, it was designed as a direct burn effect intended to deal 500 points of damage to the opponent's life points. The card draws its name and thematic design from the Japanese folklore concept of the hitodama, or fireball, which is often depicted as a glowing, ephemeral spirit.

The card’s artwork reflects the early aesthetic of the franchise, focusing on stylized elemental manifestations rather than the more complex character designs seen in later sets.
