Where it came from
Insect Princess was originally released in the 2003 expansion set Magician's Force, designed as part of the game's ongoing effort to provide support for underrepresented creature types like Insects. The card features a design centered on the ability to force opponent monsters into attack position, reflecting a thematic focus on controlling the pace of combat through tactical disruption.
This specific version, numbered OP07-EN015, was issued as part of the OTS Tournament Pack 7, a set distributed exclusively to Konami-sanctioned stores to reward players for participation in organized play. As a common rarity reprint, it provided accessibility to the card for players looking to complete Insect-themed decks, maintaining the original artwork and effect text that characterized the monster's debut era.
