Liquid Beast

Liquid Beast was released in the North American expansion set Spell Ruler, which arrived in 2002 as the fourth core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Following the initial success of the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon and subsequent early sets, Spell Ruler introduced the concept of Ritual Spell cards and high-utility magic cards to the English-language market. The inclusion of common cards like Liquid Beast was essential for filling out deck compositions and maintaining the mechanical balance of early tournament play during the game's formative years under Konami and Upper Deck Entertainment.
