Maxx "C"

Maxx 'C' was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2011 as a promotional card, quickly establishing itself as a foundational element of competitive play due to its powerful ability to draw cards when an opponent performs special summons. Its design reflects the 'hand trap' archetype, where monsters are used from the hand during an opponent's turn to disrupt plays. The card's enduring presence in the meta has made it one of the most discussed and debated cards in the game's history.

The Starlight Rare version of Maxx 'C' featured in the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection was released to celebrate the game's milestone history by offering high-end, premium finishes on iconic staples. This particular printing uses the distinct Starlight Rare foiling process, which creates a textured, prismatic sheen across the entire card surface. It was designed to provide long-time collectors with a prestige aesthetic for a card that has remained mechanically relevant throughout its lifespan.
