Megalith Phul

Megalith Phul was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Ignition Assault set, designed as a pivotal ritual monster within the Megalith archetype. This archetype is defined by its unique mechanic of performing ritual summons using the levels of monsters on the field or in the hand as tribute, eschewing the traditional need for specific ritual spell cards. The design team sought to create a flexible, earth-attribute strategy that rewarded careful resource management and strategic graveyard recursion.

This specific printing appears in OTS Tournament Pack 29, a set distributed exclusively through Konami’s Official Tournament Store program. These packs are curated to provide competitive players with accessible reprints or updated rarities of cards that define the current meta-game. By including Phul in this collection, the developers highlighted its enduring utility in competitive play, where its ability to ritual summon other Megalith monsters directly from the deck or graveyard remains a core component of the archetype’s consistency and recovery.
