Metalfoes Combination

Metalfoes Combination was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the The Dark Illusion core set in 2016, before being reprinted as a super-rare card in the 2017 Mega-Tin Mega Pack. Designed to support the Metalfoes archetype, the card serves as a continuous trap that facilitates the swarm-based playstyle of the deck by allowing players to summon a Metalfoes monster from their deck whenever a monster on the field is destroyed.

The card's aesthetic reflects the industrial, fusion-themed motif of the Metalfoes series, which emphasizes the use of pendulum mechanics to trigger destructive effects. Upon its release, it became a staple utility piece for competitive players who utilized the Metalfoes strategy, as it provided consistent deck thinning and field presence. Its inclusion in the 2017 Mega-Tin series was part of Konami's effort to increase the accessibility of key utility cards from the previous year's competitive rotation.
