Number 104: Masquerade V

Number 104: Masquerade, known in Japanese as Number 104: Masquerade Magician, was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game through the Beyond the Brave booster set. As a Rank 4 Xyz Monster, it draws its thematic roots from the Zexal anime series, specifically reflecting the aesthetic of the Barian Emperors. The card was designed to embody the flair and theatricality associated with its controller, Vector, featuring a distinct visual style that emphasizes its role as a master of illusions.

The card's design features intricate, dark, and regal imagery characteristic of the 'Number' monster hierarchy. As a Secret Rare, the printing process utilizes a unique diagonal foil pattern designed to make the artwork stand out in competitive play. Upon its release, it was noted for its specific effect-negation ability, which allowed it to carve out a niche in the game's tactical landscape, serving both as a functional tool for duelists and a highly sought-after piece for collectors focusing on the Zexal era.
