Number 17: Leviathan Dragon

Number 17: Leviathan Dragon was originally introduced as a powerful Xyz Monster during the early era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal series. It was designed to represent the concept of 'Number' monsters, which are central to the anime's plot as ethereal cards with immense power that define the protagonist's journey. The design features a serpentine, deep-sea aesthetic that emphasizes the theme of overwhelming growth and offensive potential.

The Star Pack 2013 set, which included this specific printing of the card (SP13-EN023), was released by Konami to offer a more accessible way for players to collect key cards from the Zexal era. By featuring these cards in a common rarity, the set allowed a wider audience to experience the mechanics of Xyz Summoning. The design of this particular printing reflects the standard layout of the Star Pack series, focusing on functional playability rather than the high-end foil treatments found in larger booster sets.
