Provenance

Where it came from

Number 32: Shark Drake was originally released in the early 2010s as a central card for the character Reginald Kastle, known as Shark, in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime series. As an Xyz Monster, it represents the Numbers, a set of powerful, supernatural cards central to the plot of the show. The design emphasizes a mechanical, shark-like aesthetic, reflecting the character's aquatic theme and his aggressive, high-pressure dueling style.

This specific iteration, card number MP24-EN033, appeared in the 2024 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Mirrors. This set was designed to celebrate a quarter-century of the card game by reprinting iconic monsters across various eras of the franchise. By utilizing the Secret Rare treatment, this version features a distinct prismatic foil pattern that highlights the intricate artwork, making it a popular choice for collectors seeking a modern, high-quality printing of a classic competitive card.
