Provenance

Where it came from

Ojamagic was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Magician's Force expansion, released in 2003. The card serves as support for the Ojamas, a quirky, grotesque archetype designed by Kazuki Takahashi that intentionally subverted the aesthetic of typical heroic monsters. Mechanically, the card allows players to add three specific low-level Ojama monsters to their hand when it is sent to the graveyard, a design intended to enable the swarming strategies necessary to summon the powerful Ojama King.

Dark Revelation Volume 4, which includes the DR04-EN100 iteration of this card, was released as a reprint set in the mid-2000s. These sets were designed to consolidate popular cards from previous expansions into a single collection, making them more accessible to the competitive player base. As a Rare-tier card in this set, it retains the original card artwork and effect text that solidified the Ojama archetype’s place in the game’s history as a humorous yet functionally distinct deck theme.
