Overlay Regen

Overlay Regen was released as part of the Amazing Defenders set in early 2023. This set was specifically designed to introduce and support three distinct archetypes, with this particular spell card serving as a dedicated support tool for the Purrely theme. The card functions to facilitate the Xyz Summoning mechanics central to that deck, reflecting the set's broader goal of providing cohesive, theme-specific engines for competitive play.

The visual design of the card leans into the whimsical, high-contrast aesthetic typical of the Purrely monster series. The artwork was crafted to align with the overarching narrative of the archetype, where players manage small, expressive creatures that evolve into larger forms. Upon its release, it was noted by the player base primarily for its utility within the specific Purrely deck structure rather than as a standalone collectible, serving as a functional piece in the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! competitive landscape.
