Painful Decision

Painful Decision was originally released in the 2015 set Clash of Rebellions, designed to provide specialized search support for decks revolving around Normal Monsters. The card serves as both a resource management tool and a graveyard engine, allowing a player to add a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster to their hand while sending a copy of the same monster from the deck to the graveyard, thereby setting up future plays.

This specific iteration, OP17-EN023, was issued in the OTS Tournament Pack 17, a recurring promotional set distributed exclusively to official Konami tournament stores. These packs are intended to reward local competitive players and tournament organizers, often featuring reprints of high-utility staples to improve accessibility for the competitive community. Like other common-rarity cards in these packs, this version maintains the functional integrity of the original design without the decorative flourishes found in higher rarity prints.
