Painful Decision

Painful Decision was released in the 2015 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion Dimension of Chaos. As a normal spell card, it was designed to provide crucial deck thinning and graveyard setup for specific archetypes, allowing players to send a level 4 or lower monster from their deck to the graveyard to add a monster with the same name from their deck to their hand. This mechanic played into the strategic landscape of the era, which increasingly valued efficient resource management and graveyard synergy.

The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the Dimension of Chaos set, which drew heavily from the themes of the Arc-V anime series.
