The Pitch-Black Power Stone was originally released in the Japanese OCG set Magician's Force in 2003 before being brought to English markets. It was later reprinted as part of the Dark Revelation Volume 1 compilation set, which was designed to provide players with accessible versions of highly sought-after cards from the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game. As a continuous trap card, it was intended to offer a unique counter-based utility, allowing players to move spell counters between cards to maintain field advantage.
