Power Bond (Skill Card)

Power Bond was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2004 as part of the Magician's Force expansion. Designed as a high-risk, high-reward card for Machine-type Fusion Monsters, it reflects the aggressive dueling style of Zane Truesdale from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The card allows for a powerful offensive push by doubling the attack of the resulting Fusion Monster, balanced against the inevitable effect damage the player takes at the end of the turn.

The Speed Duel Tournament Pack 6 release, which includes this common rarity version, was designed for the Speed Duel format—a streamlined, faster-paced iteration of the game. By bringing iconic cards like Power Bond into tournament packs, Konami provided players with accessible means to build decks centered around classic, heavy-hitting fusion strategies. This printing retains the original mechanical intent while aligning with the aesthetic and standardized formatting of the modern Speed Duel ecosystem.
