Provenance

Where it came from

I'm Just Gonna Attack! was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Speed Duel Tournament Pack 6. This set was specifically designed to support the Speed Duel format, a streamlined, simplified version of the standard game that focuses on faster matches and smaller deck sizes, making it an accessible entry point for players looking for a more condensed competitive experience.

The card’s design features art and mechanics intended to embody the aggressive, high-pressure playstyle encouraged by the Speed Duel format. As a common card within the tournament pack, it was intended to be widely accessible to local tournament participants rather than serving as a high-value collector's piece. The card reflects the broader design philosophy of the Speed Duel series, which seeks to evoke the nostalgia of early franchise mechanics while balancing them for quick, modern play.
