Qliphort Scout

Qliphort Scout was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the 2014 New Challengers booster set, serving as a cornerstone of the Qliphort archetype. The design draws heavy inspiration from Qabalistic mysticism, specifically the concept of the Qliphoth, which represents the forces of imbalance and impurity. This thematic choice aligned with the machine-type archetype's aggressive playstyle, which focused on overwhelming the opponent through pendulum summoning high-level monsters.

The card was later reprinted in the 2017 Pendulum Evolution set, designated as PEVO-EN057 and featuring super-rare card stock. This reprint helped stabilize the accessibility of the card during a period where pendulum mechanics were a defining feature of the competitive meta. The card's design, characterized by its mechanical, doll-like aesthetic, was created by the Konami design team to emphasize the eerie, industrial nature of the Qliphort machines, and it remains a recognizable staple for collectors of the pendulum era.
