Metalfoes Orichalc

Metalfoes Orichalc was introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the 2017 Pendulum Evolution booster set. This card belongs to the Metalfoes archetype, a group of FIRE-attribute Psychic monsters known for their unique mechanic of destroying their own cards to set archetype-specific spells and traps directly from the deck. The design reflects the series' signature aesthetic, blending high-fantasy sci-fi motifs with the mechanical, industrial styling characteristic of the Metalfoes faction.

The card was designed to function as a powerful fusion boss monster within its engine, offering both a significant attack boost to other Metalfoes and the utility of destroying an opponent's card upon being sent to the graveyard. Within the competitive landscape of the time, the card was received as a versatile staple for Metalfoes players, providing a necessary offensive edge and graveyard synergy that helped define the deck's mid-game strategy during the Pendulum era.
