Rain Bozu

Rain Bozu was introduced as part of the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles, a product designed to reprint cards from core booster sets released throughout the previous year, specifically Rising Rampage, Chaos Impact, Ignition Assault, Eternity Code, and Rise of the Duelist. This card, originally appearing in the Japanese set Soul Fusion, reflects the whimsical aesthetic of the Yugioh! TCG pendulum monster lineup, drawing inspiration from the teru teru bozu, a traditional Japanese handmade doll believed to have magical powers to bring good weather or stop rain.

The card was designed to function within a strategy revolving around attribute manipulation and pendulum mechanics. As a common rarity reprint, its inclusion in the 2021 tin served to make it more accessible to casual players and collectors looking to complete sets from that era. Its reception among the player base has been largely quiet, viewed primarily as a niche utility card rather than a centerpiece of competitive play, remaining a testament to the game's ongoing focus on Japanese folklore and mythological themes.
