Revival Jam

Revival Jam was introduced in the Labyrinth of Nightmare expansion set, which debuted in the North American TCG market in 2002. As a Super Rare card, it represented the early era of Yu-Gi-Oh! where players were introduced to cards with specific self-reviving mechanics. The card was designed to mirror the behavior of the Slime monsters seen in the animated series, specifically those used by the character Strings under the control of Marik Ishtar.

The visual design of the card features the distinct, gelatinous aesthetic consistent with the series' monsters, emphasizing its ability to return to the field after being destroyed. Upon its release, it became a notable tactical piece for players experimenting with card combos that required sacrificial monsters, though it remained balanced by its low defensive statistics and susceptibility to various removal spells.
