Swarm of Locusts

Swarm of Locusts first appeared in the Magician's Force expansion before being reprinted in the Dark Beginning 2 compilation set in 2005. As part of the Dark Beginning series, this card was released to provide newer players with accessible reprints of previously sought-after cards, helping to stabilize the card pool during a period of rapid growth for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Its inclusion in the set reflects Konami's strategy of curating foundational cards to ensure that essential effects remained available to the community.

The card features an Insect-type monster designed with a distinct swarm-based mechanic, allowing players to destroy face-down monsters on the field.
