Lore

Why it matters

"The Return to the Normal" is a common trap card from the 2019 Rising Rampage set, designed to offer players a way to cycle through their deck by shuffling back Normal Monsters. Provenance

Where it came from

The Return to the Normal was released as part of the Rising Rampage booster set, which hit North American markets in the summer of 2019. This set served as a significant expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, introducing a variety of archetypes and support cards designed to bolster existing strategies within the competitive meta-game.

The card features an illustration depicting the return of creatures to their baseline state, reflecting the trap card's mechanical function of Special Summoning Normal Monsters from the graveyard. Designed as a common rarity card, it was intended to provide accessible utility for players focusing on Normal Monster-based decks, aligning with the Konami design team's ongoing effort to revitalize legacy card types through new support structures.
